Established over 10 years ago, our foundation provides support to tens of thousands of children in Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) throughout Queensland under a school community partnership model.
Through our many services across the state, we have been able to help change the lives of the children in our care. Now, we are extending our impact throughout school communities, to support children and families in need
Our vision is that every child has the tools to engage in quality education, providing the platform to experience a happy and fulfilling childhood at school.
Our mission is to advance social equity by providing support to children and families in primary schools.
Over the last 10 years of running OSHC services and working closely with the school communities we support, the HHNF Board has developed a deep understanding of the challenges children and families face in the school environment and the potential opportunities to address these. HHNF and its Board seek to increase access to support for identified children, striving for a positive educational experience and enhanced opportunities to learn. The focus of the HHNF Strategic Plan for FY22-FY26 is on targeting core issues in schools around providing food, resources and wellbeing strategies for children and families where need is most apparent.
